Milliars park sat on the northen end of town just as rt 13 wound it's way up hill on it's way to ballards pt 17 miles farther north,the park its self starts with a parking lot and two baseball diomands then a gate that closes off the rest of the park at dark,not that it mattered a great deal as people still used the park anyway as most just walked into the grounds as they pleased once you gained acess to the interior thier was a line of tennis courts and a fishing pond two playgrounds for the kiddies and various trails that led up to milliars peak a 300 ft high hill that domminated the landscape not only of the park but the northen half of the town as well.

Ashley pulled into a parking space along water st. just before the entrance to the parks parking area and walked towards the parking lot, she strolled along with a causual air the humid augast night bringing a sheen of sweat to her exposed skin.she'd brought along her tote bag and a couple of beers she'd beeen waiting only five minutes when she spied Kiki the black girl was headed straight towards her carrying a six pack of beer."thought i'd bring some suds" she said " well i might just need some after kicking your nigger ass all over this park." was the redheads reply. Grabbing the black girls hand Ashley led them off up a trail towards the top of Milliars peak the bright three quarters moon lighted the trail as they climbed up to the peak.

The two girls passed other teens drinking beer or smoking weed most of them paid scant attention two what they thought were a pair of young lesbians looking for a place to make out. just below the peak where the trail angled sharply up to the very top was an old stone shelter house it had stone walls about three feet high and stone chimmneys at each end for the two fire places within,the interior had some picknick tables spread about haphazardly as not many families used this paticuliar spot much nowadays as most prefered the newer picknick spots that were more modern and not so much of a climb.Ashley led Kiki into the shelter house the air was if anything even more stuffy than it was along the trail with tall oaks and maples surrounding it the shelter was almost invisible on three of it's sides.once inside Ashley released the black girls hand and sat on a table popping open a beer she tipped a bottle towards her foe in salute and said "lets cool off a bit before we heat things up" Kiki thought about it a second then opened a brew of her own she returned the salute and said "might as well enjoy the quite while it lasts".
